Passive and Semi-Active Vibration Control

Our group designs passive and semi-active piezoelectric solutions for suppressing structural vibrations. Piezoelectric elements connected to shunt circuits are combined with tuned mass dampers and resonators. This gives robust multi-modal control that adapts to changing conditions.
